I have watched this video more times than I care to admit. Why? It’s creative. There’s an element of surprise, of the unexpected. It’s engaging. It’s out-of-the-box. It’s a wedding one would have enjoyed being at.
I think, however, the intoxicating reason I, and many others, watch it over and over, is the joy. It’s an uninhibited joy. It puts a smile on one’s face, if not a tear in one’s eye. It’s surprising how many people on Youtube, men and women, commented on the tears it brought. It’s what true joy does.
Is it worshipful? I would call it celebratory. It’s in the same category as lighting candles on a birthday cake as everyone sings Happy Birthday. Is that worshipful? Depends. If its done to the glory of God, yes. Celebration can be worship.
Personally, I would have tweeked it a bit – a little more Godward, a little less show, but I still like it. I also don’t think one can or should judge a wedding by its entrance alone. There is much ceremony after the entrance dance.
Joyful and joy filled – it’s how weddings should be.
It’s how life should be.
It’s how God is.
